The capacities and processes for implementing the 2030 Agenda are improved.

The following three mutually reinforcing outputs ensure the successful implementation of the project.
Output 1 – Planning: Policy advice for sustainable development to support the development and introduction of obligatory processes and mechanism to integrate the 2030 Agenda into national planning processes, considering the Leave No One Behind (LNOB) principle. Moreover, the project aims to empower authorities at the ministerial and regional level to fulfil their role during the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
Output 2 – Monitoring: Capacity Building for actors in the data ecosystem to collect, process and ultimately utilize the data required for effectively implementing the 2030 Agenda. Additionally, the project supports state actors in setting up an SDG database, accessible to various data users for evidence-based policymaking, monitoring and reporting purposes.
Output 3 – Implementation: Supporting innovative small-scale projects to foster the practical advancement and localization of the 2030 Agenda in the Republic of Moldova. The Project facilitates the set-up of a mechanism to implement selected SDGs, in line with the 2030 Agenda. The small-scale projects pilot innovative and effective ideas at the national and regional level with financial and technical support provided by the project.
In order to support the implementation of at least six cross-sectoral small-scale projects to foster the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Republic of Moldova the SDG Innvovation fund was created. These small-scale projects will be joint actions of at least two different stakeholder groups (e.g. public authorities, civil society, private sector, academia) with the aim to foster multi-stakeholder partnerships in line with the Principles of the 2030 Agenda.
