The goal of the programme is to strengthen Civil
Society Organizations in Eastern Partnership countries working for sustainable
and inclusive local development.
Government and civil society
- Strengthening institutional capacities of local Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in EaP Countries
- Promoting regional exchange and learning between Civil Society Organizations in EaP Countries
- Supporting implementation of pilot measures (grant projects) in the field of sustainable and inclusive local development in the regions
Strengthening Civil Society in the Eastern Partnership
(EaP) Countries” is a regional program covering Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and
Armenia, who are committed to sustainable and inclusive local development. CSOs
from Azerbaijan and Belarus could participate in an observer status. It is
commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and
Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ. The program aims at developing
internal and external capacities of CSOs in EaP countries, promotion of
experience exchange and learning among CSOs through organization of capacity
building measures, networking, experience exchange events, funding and
implementation of pilot measures thus contributing to sustainable and inclusive
local development.
Regional program covering Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine
Direct beneficiaries of the program are registered CSOs of EaP countries
that are committed to sustainable and inclusive local developments; indirect
beneficiaries are local initiatives, the population of the six EaP countries
beyond capitals, especially disadvantaged groups

Expected results:
· Capacities
of at least 120 CSO representatives (60 of them women) from EaP countries in
strategic planning, project management, financial management have been
developed.
· Institutional
capacities of at least 120 CSOs from EaP countries have been strengthened.
· At
least 20 CSOs that are committed to sustainable and inclusive local development
in EaP countries have developed strategic development plans including measures
to internally promote gender equality for the organization.
· Specialists
and managers from 60 CSOs of EaP countries in the field of sustainable and
inclusive local development have taken part in regional exchange formats
· At
least 4 regional exchange formats and dialogues took place with participation
of CSO representatives of EaP countries.
· At
least 20 pilot measures in the field of sustainable and inclusive local
development have been implemented at local level in EaP countries
