Citizens' empowerment actions
Key objectives: To reduce the number of educational institutions in Gagauzia that use outdoor bathrooms.Raise the awareness of students, representatives of educational institutions and local administration from 10 settlements of Gagauzia about the negative consequences of using street bathrooms for the ecology and safety of children. To increase the level of interest of students, representatives of educational institutions and local administration from 10 settlements of Gagauzia in cooperation in the framework of environmental projects. To increase the level of involvement of students and representatives of educational institutions, from 11 educational institutions of Gagauzia, in processes for solving environmental problems (in accordance with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals promoted by the UN) and monitoring of these processes.
Activities: Conducting of 3 information sessions with 30 representatives of local authorities from 10 settlements of Gagauzia on the topic of ecology.3 educational trainings with 33 representatives of 11 educational institutions of Gagauzia. Production and installation of boxes for the collection of waste paper. Holding intellectual games among the schools of Gagauzia. Holding a competition for the collection of waste paper. Construction of a sanitary center in one of the schools.
