Promoting the assumption by the inhabitants of the role of active and participatory consumers in the development of services waste collection. Increase the capacity of civil society (including young people) and residents to participate in public service delivery processes, in order to contribute to the development of good local governance.
Activities planned:
• Establishment of local representative teams in each village, for coordination of project activities;
• Printed and online communication with citizens about the project’s objectives and results, and about the importance of an efficient solid waste management system;
• Conduction of a survey which will aim to find out the citizens' opinion on SWM service and paying a tax for garbage collection;
• Trainings for LPA representatives and team members regarding local public services delivery;
• A pilot activity of testing the best proceeding of waste collection from the households;
• Empowering LPAs and active citizens on creation and development of a SWM service, through participatory elaboration of local programs for SWM.
Equipment planned:
- 25 tablets and 10 web cameras to be distributed to members of the local active citizens groups for the project’s activities implementation.
- 16 surveillance cameras to be installed in some places of illegal garbage storages.
