Strengthening the capacities of public agents
within the local specialized bodies in the field of social assistance and civil
society in the districts of Orhei, Telenesti, Soldanesti, to increase awareness
and perception of corruption, including by contributing to increasing the level
of transparency of information of public interest.
Corruption is a systemic problem that affects norms and human relations. To combat this complex phenomenon, specific measures must be taken. From 15 to 21 February, the Humanitarian Association Christian Philanthropy of Orhei organized three round tables to launch the project "Integrity for society! Partnership for Development", which aims to increase transparency, ethics and integrity in public authorities and institutions in Orhei, Telenesti and Soldanesti districts, especially in the field of social assistance.
All three DASPFs Telenesti, Soldanesti, Orhei have shown openness to collaborate on the basis of active and mutually effective partnership in the process of implementing the project in Orhei Telenesti and Soldanesti districts during 2023. In the following activities we aim to finalize a "Joint Integrity Plan" including measures and procedures to prevent and limit corruption and remedies for institutional risks and vulnerabilities to corruption in the social assistance system.
The general objective that we propose to achieve is to increase the transparency of the administrative act through the implementation of mechanisms and measures to prevent corruption, as well as the training of staff in public institutions in this regard. The benefits for the target group are that they will use clear procedures to ensure transparency in local public administration, which will be implemented in the institution where they work. At the same time the target group will participate in anti-corruption training sessions and the anti-corruption education campaign.
During the events besides the Project Presentation with reference to the Public Dialogue/Visibility and Communication Platform, Tools and Mechanisms, Experiences and Ways of Implementation the participants became aware that anti-corruption actions are both legal and administrative in nature, involving officials but also the whole population. Thus, we aim at encouraging integrity, impartiality and responsibility with regard to the consequences of committing unlawful acts or acts contrary to standards of conduct.
