The young generation of ATU Gagauzia is not fully aware of the extent of the negative impact of corruption on the life of society. There are still strong stereotypes that corruption is not a negative social phenomenon and only causes minor damage to the country’s development.

Thus, raising awareness of corruption as a multifaceted and complex problem, empowering stakeholders in combating corruption is impossible without the active involvement of the young generation and the direction of the potential of this active part of society to counteract this phenomenon. Youth is a layer of society that is not yet accustomed to corruption and is therefore most open to learning and rejecting corruption.

The implementation of this project will contribute to the formation of the anti-corruption legal awareness of young residents of southern Moldova. The formation of an active civic position and legal awareness among young people, understanding of social issues is the foundation of building a sustainable civil society, based on the highest values of human freedom and dignity.

The main beneficiaries of the project will be young people studying in educational institutions in southern part of Moldova and representatives of teaching staff (about 400 people). They are students of the universities of Comrat, Taraclia and Cahul; colleges in Svetlyi and Comrat; vocational schools (Ciumai, Comrat, Ceadir-Lunga) - about 6 000 people.

The selection of beneficiaries will necessarily take into account the gender aspect, so that the male and female population is represented in equal numbers.

One of the main parties that will be directly involved in the project is the Comrat State University, with which a partnership agreement was concluded. The partners will ensure coordination with the other 8 educational institutions included in the project: 3 in Comrat municipality (Comrat State University, College, Professional School), 1 in Taraclia (Taraclia State University), 1 Ceadir-Lunga municipality (Professional School), 1 in Vulcanesti (Professional School), 1 in Ciumai village (Professional School), 1.
