O1. Strengthen civil society capacities to increase
transparency of municipalities in com. Bălășești and com. Pepeni through the
development of Local Anti-Corruption Strategies/Plans and the involvement of
citizens in the monitoring of the local decision-making process for 8 months.
O2. Information and training of 300 young people and 50
inhabitants of 7 localities of Sîngerei r. (Bălășești com., Pepeni com. and
Iezărenii Vechi s.) on mechanisms to prevent and combat corruption for 6
months.
The major problem of the inhabitants of Sîngerei r.
Bălășești, com Pepeni and s. Iezărenii Vechi, is the insufficient awareness of
the consequences of corruption, people's fear to report corruption, low
monitoring of local decision-making transparency, the increase of local crimes.
The implementation of the Active Residents - Zero Tolerance to Corruption!
project will increase awareness and involvement of citizens in these localities,
especially young people, in activities to prevent and fight corruption at local
level. To this end, 300 young people and 50 inhabitants of 7 localities in the
Sîngerei district will be informed and trained on mechanisms to prevent and
fight corruption for 6 months.
The project launching activity will be carried out in com.
Bălășești. 25 people will be invited (teachers, students, councillors,
representatives of local authorities, active inhabitants of the com. Bălășești,
com. Pepeni, Iezărenii Vechi village), to inform them about the aim, objectives
and activities of the project. During the implementation of the project,
information sessions will be organized for young organizers; seminars for
inhabitants on the impact of corruption, local strategies/action plans against
corruption will be developed. 1 web camera will be purchased which will allow
us to broadcast live the local council meetings to inform the inhabitants of
the com. Bălășești about the approved decisions.
All project activities will be promoted on social networks
and in the local media.
