The competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in Eastern
Partnership countries is strengthened, taking into account the digital
transformation.
The current capacities and cooperations of SMEs only partially meet the requirements of approximation or long-term integration into the European internal market. The potential of digital transformation to improve the competitiveness of SMEs is not fully exploited in the countries of the Eastern Partnership. Local, competitive SMEs are the backbone for sustainable economic development and a prerequisite for successful approach/integration into the EU internal market. Hence, financed by the BMZ, the “Digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in Eastern Partnership countries” project attaches a great importance to the cross-cutting reform processes in promoting the digital transformation.
Covered countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine
